Morgan and Kim Lalonde

We have been working in small churches for much of our 35+ years of married life, including numerous churches in mainland Nova Scotia. As a couple, we are thrilled to serve the Lord together on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, a place we have longed to be again. We look forward to the future with anticipation of what the Lord will accomplish in the lives of individuals in the rural communities of our home province.

The future is bright and there is much potential! Our mission remains the same as 2 Corinthians 4:5 - "For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake."

Morgan's military service with the Canadian Armed Forces spans 25 years, both as a non-commissioned member and as a Naval Logistics Officer. Military assignments have led our family to Halifax, Nova Scotia; Kingston, Ontario as well as Washington, DC. Morgan also worked in the printing industry at Peoples Gospel Hour in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Lighthouse Publishing in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia and at Pictou Advocate in Pictou, Nova Scotia.

Kim's roots run deep in Yarmouth - her father was from Starr's Road and her ancestors came to Milton in the early 1800s from Saintfield, Ireland. Kim was a stay-at-home Mom for much of their married life but has worked with the military during both of the family's postings to the Canadian Embassy.

Our prayer is to "come alongside" in the lives of those that we come in contact with on a daily basis - to minister to those in our home community and throughout the South Shore of Nova Scotia.

Our Vision

To see souls come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, to see an Independent Baptist church started in the community of South Ohio, to foster fellowship with other believers of like faith, and to see individual spiritual growth and discipleship with young believers.
